National Children and Nature Conference Set for September 7-10

The National Children and Nature Conference will be held in Shepherdstown, West Virginia September 7 to 10 with the theme, “Focusing the Relationship of the Built Environment to Children and Nature.”

One of the keynote addresses will be given by Richard Louv, author of “Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature Deficit-Disorder.” Other presenters will include John Flicker, President of the National Audubon Society, Charles Jordan, Chairman of The Conservation Fund, Dr. Patricia Zaradic, Stroud Research Center, Gina McCarthy, Commissioner Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection on “No Child Left Inside Campaign,” and Sylvia Earle, Chair Deep Ocean Exploration and Research, Explorer in Residence, National Geographic Society.
