Testing And Treating PFAS In PA Water Wells

PFAS chemicals are commonly found in humans and throughout our environment because they are not degraded by sunlight and they are not chemically or biologically degraded in soil, air, or water.   These chemicals are also easily dissolved in water making them more likely to occur in water including groundwater wells.  Read more here.

County Summaries Of PA Groundwater Water Well, Spring Data Helps Well Owners Decide What To Test For

Online data summaries can help water well and spring owners decide which parameters to test in their drinking water.  There are over one million rural homes and farms that use a private water well or spring in Pennsylvania but there are no statewide regulations requiring testing of these drinking water supplies.  Read more here.
