Justin Stockdale To Leave PA Resources Council, Search Underway For New Executive Director

On August 24, the PA Resources Council announced Justin Stockdale will leave the organization when his family moves to Boulder, Colorado in October.

Stockdale joined PRC as the Western Regional Director in 2014 and was appointed statewide Managing Director in 2019.

As a result of his departure, the PRC Board of Directors will begin a search for an Executive Director, a vacancy created by the death of Robert Jondreau in 2018.

“Throughout the past year, Justin has overseen a significant transition project undertaken by the Commonwealth’s oldest grassroots environmental organization, and we owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude for all he has accomplished,” said PRC Board President Winnie Branton.  “Justin’s commitment to finding pragmatic and attainable solutions to waste-related issues is demonstrated across his career, from the implementation of his work as a consultant to the imaginative leadership he has proven within local governments and non-profit organizations.”

In the role of PRC Managing Director, Stockdale has led the organization’s statewide environmental education efforts, recycling and waste diversion programs, anti-litter campaigns and other programs.

At the national level, he recently was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Recycling Coalition.

“Throughout the past seven years, Justin has proven to be a dynamic leader with a deep commitment to furthering PRC’s 80-year mission and inspiring its staff,” Ms. Branton said.  “Justin’s energy and devotion to our mission will be difficult to match, but he leaves PRC a better organization and on a strong footing for those to follow him.”

“While we are saddened by Justin’s planned departure, we must prepare for PRC’s next chapter,” she explained.  “Today we begin our search for a new Executive Director.”
