PA-Anthracite Section Of Society of Mining Engineers/AIME Reopening Application Period For Student Scholarship

The PA-Anthracite Section of Society of Mining Engineers/AIME is now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 John Kaminski Memorial Scholarships for mining-related engineering or science majors for Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Applications are due October 15.

One, $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating High School Senior or College or University Undergraduate.

The scholarship winner will also receive a Local Membership in the Penn-Anthracite Section for the 2020-2021 program year.

Kristin Sweeney, Chairwoman, said the scholarship program is reopening because no applications were received due to the COVID pandemic.
