Get Ready! Groundhog Day And Punxsutawney Phil Are Right Around The Corner On Feb. 2

Pennsylvania’s largest mid-winter celebration is right around the corner!  February 2 is Groundhog Day at Gobbler’s Knob in Jefferson County with Punxsutawney Phil, but with a twist.  This year it will be virtual.

For most of us, Groundhog Day 2021 will be much the same.  We’ll watch the festivities starting at 6:00 a.m. on the PA Tourism website or on PA Cable Network culminating in the annual forecast of when Spring will arrive about 7:20 a.m.

The only thing different is the enthusiastic audience will not be there in person due to COVID restrictions.

If you still want to be there “in person,” you can purchase a Crowd Cut Out offered by the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club.  Proceeds will go toward fulfilling the mission of protecting and perpetuating the legend of Punxsutawney Phil.

The Seer of Seers, Prognosticator of all Prognosticators, the only true weather predicting groundhog... Punxsutawney Phil and his Inner Circle wish you a Happy Groundhog Day!
