Here are the Senate and House Calendars for the next voting session day and Committees scheduling action on bills of interest as well as a list of new environmental bills introduced--

Bill Calendars

House (June 7):  House Bill 763 (B-Miller-R-Lancaster) would require PennDOT to develop a list of native vegetation species that can be used in roadside work that is done throughout the state;  House Resolution 106 (Benninghoff-R- Mifflin) ending some waivers of some of the hundreds of regulations, requirements during Pandemic emergency, but keeping others <> Click Here for full House Bill Calendar.

Senate (June 7):  Senate Bill 435-- encouraging the development of clean transportation infrastructure to support electric, natural gas and hydrogen vehicles;  Senate Bill 597 (Stefano-R- Fayette) would impose conflicting and expensive requirements on small water and wastewater systems for no benefit to their customers and if they can’t comply they would come under the regulation of the Public Utility Commission Read more here.  <> Click Here for full Senate Bill Calendar.

Bills Introduced

The following bills of interest were introduced last week--

Narrow Grounds For Appealing DEP Permit Decisions: Senate Bill 717 (Bartolotta-R- Washington) which would create a new standard for the review for appeals of DEP permit actions before the Environmental Hearing Board by limiting parties appealing permit decisions-- a company or a citizens group-- to issues raised in and information contained in a record of decision of a permit prepared by DEP.

Reducing Terms Of Environmental Hearing Board Judges: Senate Bill 718 (Bartolotta-R- Washington) would shorten the term of a judge on the Environmental Hearing Board from six to five years.
