Sinnemahone Ultra Trail Run Participants Braved Weather To Finish Triple Crown In Cameron County

Despite rain and dropping temperatures 66 runners took to the Elk State Forest on Saturday, October 16, the final leg of the Sinnemahone Triple Crown that included a 12k, 25k, or 50k.  Nearly half of the competitors chose to run the 12k. 

The first male finisher in the 12k race was 19 year old Josh Zook from Gordonville 1:18:23, the top female finisher was 49 year old Eugenia Resendiz Clark from Emporium 1:21:09.

The first male finisher in the 25k was 20 year old Raymond Esh from Lykens 2:22:05, the top female finisher 26 year old Casey Columbus from Stahlstown 2:42:31.

The first male finisher in the 50k was 17 year old Benjamin Kauffman from Alisterville 6:19:51, the top female finisher 33 year old Sarah Colwell from Westminster Maryland.

The youngest competitor was 8 year old Eldon Stoltzfus from Ronks finished the 12k in 1:35:44.

6 Triple Crown Participants

Six people completed the triple crown by competing in the Sinnemahone Canoe and Classic in April, the Sinnemahone Gravel Grinder in September and the Sinnemahone Ultra Trail Run Saturday. 

They include Corrie Amick from Fairview, Angela Horst, Emporium residents: Ryan Dobson, Saul Solveson, Garrett Hornung and Valerie VanBreugel.
