DEP Hosting 6 Regional Engagement Sessions On Climate Action For Environmental Justice Communities Starting April 5

The Department of Environmental Protection is hosting six regional engagement sessions on Climate Action for Environmental Justice Communities starting April 5 both in-person and virtual meetings.

This project is designed to allow DEP to more proactively engage with Pennsylvania communities in developing a guide for the implementation of climate strategies for maximum benefit to EJ communities.

DEP's Energy Programs Office will engage with communities facing environmental justice issues facilitated by a contractor.

The in-person/virtual meetings will be held--

-- April 5 – Meadville: Meadville Public Library Upstairs Community Space, 848 N Main St, Meadville, PA 16335. 10:30 a.m.

-- April 6 – Pittsburgh: Forest Hills Borough Building Community Room 4400 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh, PA 15221. 10:00 a.m.

-- April 10 – Scranton: Governor’s Room, 2nd Floor of Scranton City Hall, 340 N. Washington Avenue, Scranton, PA 18503. 10:30 a.m.

-- April 11 – Reading: Berks Nature Center, 575 Saint Bernardine St, Reading, PA 19607. 10:30 a.m.

-- April 13 – Harrisburg: Keystone Building, Desert Room 400 North Street Harrisburg, PA 17120. 10:30 a.m.

-- April 14 – Norristown: Department of Environmental Justice, Southeast Regional Office, 2 East Main Street, Norristown, PA 19401. 10:30 a.m.
