CFA Awards Over $1 Million In Grants To Extend Natural Gas Service In Susquehanna, Warren Counties

On March 26, the Commonwealth Financing Authority approved $1,001,434 in funding for two projects to extend natural gas pipelines to serve business parks and existing manufacturing and industrial enterprises under the Pipeline Investment Program .

The projects include--

-- $966,782 to Leatherstocking Gas Company LLC for the installation of 5,900 linear feet of natural gas pipeline and a gate station in Harford Township, Susquehanna County. This project will provide natural gas to Jeffers Farms, Inc., the Mountain View School District, and area residents.

-- $34,652 to Sugar Grove Township, Warren County, to extend natural gas service. The project will extend the natural gas lines 4,535 feet and provide service/metering to six residential properties, one business, one non-profit, and the township maintenance building not currently served with natural gas.
